Model Risk Audit Manager

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Model Risk Audit Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, scoping, and developing a project plan, including incorporating the use of data analytics Effectively allocate resources and individuals in accordance with skills and schedules, to complete assignments within budget.

• Communicate clear expectations and analyze/review process documentation to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency.
• Create and present to stakeholders meaningful, relevant, and well-supported audit reports that align with the bank’s risk appetite framework.  

• Identify any material issues that go beyond paperwork shortcomings.
• Ability to quickly identify finds solutions, not just problems.
• Provide coaching and development to junior team members by taking an active role in training and mentoring. 
• Deliver subject matter knowledge industry related knowledge to support business partnership efforts.
• Time management and timely delivery of audits, projects, and special assignments.
• Support the implementation of new systems, processes, and changes.

Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of banking, auditing or other relevant experience related to this area of responsibility.
• Expertise in audit and other areas of banking and financial services.
• Strong understanding of risk management and process concepts.
• Proven analytical, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate the underlying concepts in complex information.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and communicate source causes of problems.
• Proven ability to plan and communicate solutions based on a synthesis of information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong project management and advisory skills.
