SBA Loan Administrator

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking an SBA Loan Administrator for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare SBA loan packages in compliance with SBA loan processing standards.
  • Support the SBA lenders in all administrative areas of SBA loan processing operations.
  • Obtain all required documents prior to closing of each SBA loan.
  • Prepare necessary Bank documents for each closing.
  • Maintain all required documents after each closing and file documents as appropriate.
  • Conduct all necessary follow up activity needed to complete SBA loan files.
  • Follow all established internal procedures and all standard SBA lending procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines such as SBA, OFAC, Fraud Prevention and Anti-Money Laundering regulations, etc. 
  • Upload loans to core platform and documents to repository as necessary.
  • Consult with the Portfolio Manager or SBA lenders as appropriate to process loans.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with internal/external communications, conduct and work ethic.
  • Complete all required training sessions related to compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university preferred – or 5 or more years of equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of SBA experience in a financial institution or other relevant experience.
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong understanding of SBA lending terminology and services as well as compliance issues.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Experienced and efficient in Microsoft Office products, Outlook, Word, Excel, FISERV, etc.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to interact well with customers with high to low levels of computer knowledge.
  • Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
