Senior Auditor – Regulatory Compliance
Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Senior Auditor – Regulatory Compliance for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities:
- Manage plan, scope, execution, and reporting of regulatory compliance audits based on identified risks.
- Partner with management regarding audit scope, status, and findings.
- Ability to manage time and staffing budgets for assigned audits.
- Prepare work papers that accurately document work performed and support conclusions.
- Ensure audit issues are well-defined, root causes are identified, and recommendations for improved controls and processes are communicated to management.
- Ability to understand and identify the full range of risks related to processes, regulatory compliance, organization, policy, and technology,
- Evaluate control design adequacy in complex business processes, perform control testing, and document work performed in conformance with internal audit methodology.
- Share ideas and opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system of control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (4-Year Accredited College).
- 3 – 7 Years related auditing experience.
- Relevant financial services industry knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of Regulatory Compliance & Operations.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards.
- Certification preferred ( CRCM, CIA, CPA, CAMS, or other relevant professional designations).
