Senior Auditor – Regulatory Compliance

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Senior Auditor – Regulatory Compliance for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Manage plan, scope, execution, and reporting of regulatory compliance audits based on identified risks.
• Partner with management regarding audit scope, status, and findings.
• Ability to manage time and staffing budgets for assigned audits.
• Prepare work papers that accurately document work performed and support conclusions.
• Ensure audit issues are well-defined, root causes are identified, and recommendations for improved controls and processes are communicated to management.
• Ability to understand and identify the full range of risks related to processes, regulatory compliance, organization, policy, and technology,
• Evaluate control design adequacy in complex business processes, perform control testing, and document work performed in conformance with internal audit methodology.
• Share ideas and opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system of control.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (4-Year Accredited College).
• 3 – 7 Years related auditing experience.
• Relevant financial services industry knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of Regulatory Compliance & Operations.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical deadlines.
• Thorough understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards.
• Certification preferred ( CRCM, CIA, CPA, CAMS, or other relevant professional designations).
