Wholesale Lending Audit Manager

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Wholesale Lending Audit Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, scope and develop the test plan, including incorporating the use of data analytics.  
• Ability to allocate resources and individuals in accordance with skills and schedules, to complete assignments within budget and on time.
• Present clear quality expectations based on the bank’s Audit Services standards.
• Analyze and review process documentation to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency.
• Build meaningful, relevant, and well-supported audit reports that align with the bank’s risk appetite framework and present reports to key department stakeholders.    
• Detect significant and material issues that go beyond paperwork shortcomings.
• Ability to look beyond the obvious and find solutions, not just problems.
• Take an active role in training and mentoring to provide coaching and guidance in the development of junior team members.  
• Offer subject matter and industry related knowledge to support business partnership efforts.
• Provide advisory services in the implementation of new systems, processes and changes to existing systems, standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field or equivalent education.
• 6-8 years of banking, auditing or other relevant experience related to area of responsibility.
• Strong knowledge, ability and expertise in audit and other areas of banking and financial services.
• Strong understanding of risk management and process concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to grasp and communicate the underlying concepts in complex information.
• Proven ability to identify and communicate root causes of problems.
• Ability to formulate and communicate solutions based on a synthesis of information.
