Municipal Syndicate Operations Analyst

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Municipal Syndicate Operations Analyst for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Set up new issue information into Deals Database and Ipreo Municipal Bookbuild
• Order CUSIPs for competitive and negotiated deals
• Guarantee accuracy of deal data and ticket information in Ipreo, Bloomberg, and Deals Database
• Convey pre-sale good faith notification emails to internal partners
• Manage good faith and closing wires
• Evaluate deal file checklist for all transactions and prepare deal files for closure
• Process MSRB G-11 Syndicate Settlements
• Process Private Placements settlements
• Helps with review of official statements, bond purchase agreements, issue price certificates and closing memos as needed
• Responsible for distributing offering material for competitive and negotiated offerings
• Assist with recordkeeping, revenue tracking, and expenses for all transactions
• Collaborate with sales and trading desk to ensure smooth execution of transactions including interacting with operations
• Maintain adherence to firm policies and procedures
• Conduct continuing disclosure lookbacks on Issuers for negotiated or competitive underwritings
• Complete Form G-32 Filings
• Aid with Risk and Audit requests and inquiries

Qualifications:

• 5 or more years municipal underwriting operations, fixed income operations, or similar broker dealer operations experience

• FINRA Series 52 or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
• Experience in fixed income securities
• Proficient with Bloomberg TOMS and Ipreo Municipal Bookrunning systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to foster strong partnerships with all business partners
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills to identify issues and assist with resolution.
• Experience managing new issues across asset classes, with a focus on Municipal securities
