Functional Business Analyst

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Functional Business Analyst for a contract to hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with the Consumer Collections Operations team to analyze business needs and translate them into system requirements.
• Serve as a functional expert for CACS (CGI Credit Studio for Collections) — managing workflow configurations, user access, system updates, and issue resolution.
• Support and enhance Speedpay integrations for payment processing, ensuring accurate functionality and a seamless customer experience.
• Collaborate with IT, vendors, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, validate system changes, and coordinate testing and deployment activities.
• Document business processes, requirements, and system specifications to support governance and operational readiness.
• Provide user support and training for collections systems as needed.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for process automation or efficiency improvements within the collections workflow.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Functional Analyst — ideally within consumer collections, lending, or financial services.
• Hands-on experience with CACS (CGI Credit Studio) required; experience with Speedpay strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of collections processes, workflows, and call center operations.
• Proficiency in documenting functional requirements, test plans, and process flows.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting large enterprise systems in partnership with operations teams.
