Project Manager – Velera Implementation
Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Project Manager for a contract opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of the Velera credit card system.
- Coordinate with the Velera vendor, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively work toward resolution.
- Provide expert guidance on Velera system capabilities, configurations, and best practices.
- Support decision-making around potential staffing vs. consulting models as the project evolves.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Velera or prior involvement in Velera credit card system implementations.
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in financial services, fintech, or credit card systems.
- Strong understanding of system integration, change management, and vendor coordination.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
