Trade Allocation Specialist

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Trade Allocation Specialist for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily trade allocation process
  • Identify and work with clients sending manual trade allocations to meet regulatory allocation requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to facilitate trade corrections
  • Manage timely and accurate trade corrections
  • Lead thorough research and analysis for all trade corrections
  • Apply a strong understanding of financial markets to identify and mitigate potential operational risks
  • Stay up to date on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to trade allocations and corrections
  • Build and maintain detailed documentation of allocation processes and procedures
  • Provide support to other team members and assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-5 years of Broker Dealer trade allocations experience or comparable experience
  • FINRA Series 7
  • Ability to resolve operational or trading issues by coordinating with other departments and external parties
  • Experience working with MBS products, including TBA and Pools
  • Expertise of securities regulations, compliance, and industry standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to create and foster strong partnerships with business partners
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills
  • Bloomberg/TOMS/CTM
  • Deep understanding of securities markets and trading systems
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
