AI Test Engineer
Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a AI Test Engineer for a contract opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with developers and product teams in agile pods to verify test cases, results, and test automation generated by AI tooling.
• Conduct manual testing where automation isn’t possible, and lead end-to-end integration testing across systems.
• Evaluate and guide the AI-generated testing output for completeness, coverage, and accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal and offshore testing teams, providing oversight, feedback, and mentoring.
• Ensure AI-generated documentation is accurate and complete in the test management tool.
• Participate in the design and finalization process to prepare test plans proactively.
• Promote continuous improvement by researching and implementing the latest testing tools and methodologies.
• Proactively raise concerns, challenge assumptions, and advocate for quality at all stages of development.
• Work closely with stakeholders onsite in Charlotte, NC (Piedmont Row office) – standard business hours with flexibility.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering, with a focus on web or mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of retail/online banking systems and workflows.
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments with in-sprint automation.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled testing tools or platforms that use AI for test case generation and documentation.
• Excellent understanding of automated and manual testing, test lifecycle, and test management tools (e.g., qTest, Zephyr, TestRail).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work directly with product owners and push back constructively.
• Ability to mentor and guide offshore testers and lead small QA efforts within agile teams.
• Curious, innovative mindset; continuously seeking ways to improve testing quality and efficiency
