Loan Servicing & Documentation Specialist
Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Loan Servicing & Documentation Specialist for a contract opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review loan documents for renewals, extensions, and modifications using LaserPro or similar systems
- Review loan packages for completeness and accuracy
- Support post-close documentation cleanup resulting from recent data conversions
- Book loans in proper system
- Verify accurate setup of interest rates (fixed and variable), payment schedules, and variable rate parameters and coding
- Perform post-closing servicing and booking validation
- Ensure accurate transfer and reflection of prior loan terms for renewals
- Conduct quality reviews of booked loans using existing checklists
- Perform sampling reviews to confirm correct rate setup, accurate payment schedules, and proper exception tracking
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections
Qualifications:
- Experience in loan documentation, booking, or loan operations within a banking environment
- Hands-on experience with Fiserv Precision (strongly preferred) or Premier
- Experience using LaserPro or similar loan documentation systems
- Strong understanding of loan renewals and extensions, post-close review processes, tickler and covenant tracking, and variable rate loan setups
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, post-merger environment
- Multi-core experience (Fiserv, FIS, Jack Henry, etc.) preferred
- Prior experience supporting merger-related data conversions or post-conversion cleanup preferred
- Familiarity with quality control sampling methodologies
