Operations Transformation Consultant

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Operations Transformation Consultant for a contract opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead integration workstreams across assigned functional area(s), ensuring smooth transition during merger.
  • Partner with BAU leaders to minimize disruption while driving transformation.
  • Assess organizational structure, processes, and staff effectiveness; make recommendations for promotions, redeployment, or exits as needed.
  • Implement best practices to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Act as an internal consultant to senior leadership, advising on integration strategy and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and risk management standards.
  • Serve as a cultural leader during transition, providing stability and direction to large operational teams.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in banking operations, with leadership in one or more of the following areas of deposits, payments, loans, reconciliation, or audit/risk.
  • Proven track record in merger integration, transformation, or large-scale operational change management.
  • Strong background in assessing and optimizing operating models.
  • Experience managing large teams in a regulated financial services environment.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence
  • Six Sigma or process improvement expertise preferred.
