Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Universal Banker for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for deepening the branch customer base through a variety of proactive sales and service activities.
  • Build relationships with customers through identifying opportunities to improve the customer’s financial wellbeing.
  • Drives proactive sales conversations through internal and outbound interactions with a defined sales process including outbound calling, service to sales, teller interactions, appointment setting and effective lobby engagement, ultimately elevating client loyalty.
  • Fosters customer loyalty and grows customer share of wallet through a differentiated customer experience.
  • Educates customers on options for managing financial transactions by leveraging technology, tools and resources.
  • Understanding of banking products and procedures to identify, mitigate and solve customer problems effectively.
  • Completes their part in branch daily operations, ensuring they are completed in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Delivers excellent customer service through listening to customers, anticipating their needs, and recommending financial services.
  • Teller experience including receiving checks and cash for deposits, cashing checks and processing withdrawals, verifying amounts, examining checks for proper endorsement, and entering deposits into computer records.
  • Executes branch functions such as wire transfer, Treasury Management and product agreements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, as well as related experience or product knowledge to accomplish primary duties.
  • 5+ years of related experience in a banking or financial services client servicing role.
  • Skilled in providing products and services through the retail banking branch.
  • Effective communication of ideas, information, and needs through of the customer.
  • Foster effective working relationships within own department and across functional departments.
  • Understanding of operational processes and procedures to ensure compliance with local and company policies.
