Operations Analyst

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Operations Analyst for a contract to hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and implement operational workflows, SOPs, and documentation for a new core banking system (Jack Henry SilverLake).
  • Execute and support daily operations across loan (processing, booking, funding, servicing), deposit, and treasury functions (ACH, wires, Positive Pay, lockbox).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert during system implementation and future conversion from Fiserv Premier.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of all transactions.
  • Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvements and scalable solutions.
  • Support client onboarding and product setup across banking services.
  • Collaborate with leadership to stand up and scale a new operations team from scratch.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in banking operations (loan, deposit, or treasury).
  • Hands-on experience with core banking systems (Jack Henry SilverLake preferred; Fiserv/FIS or similar acceptable).
  • Strong knowledge of loan lifecycle, deposit operations, or treasury services (ACH, wires, Positive Pay, lockbox).
  • Proven ability to build processes, workflows, and documentation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of banking regulations and operational controls.
  • Ability to work independently and in a build-from-scratch environment.
