Loan Quality Review Specialist

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Loan Quality Review Specialist for a consultant opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive post-close quality control reviews of commercial and consumer loan files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies, lending procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Validate loan boarding and servicing activities within the core system, ensuring loan terms, interest rates, payment schedules, maturity dates, variable-rate features, and renewal or extension details are accurately established.
• Monitor and manage loan servicing exceptions and tickler requirements, including financial statements, covenant compliance, insurance coverage, and other ongoing borrower obligations.
• Identify, document, and escalate loan documentation, servicing, and compliance discrepancies, partnering with lending, operations, and servicing teams to drive timely resolution and maintain portfolio integrity.

Qualifications:

• Experience in loan operations, loan servicing, credit administration, or loan quality control within a banking or financial services environment for commercial and consumer loans.
• Hands-on experience with multi-core banking systems (Fiserv, FIS, Jack Henry, etc.) preferred.
