Financial Analyst

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

**Candidates must have a strong blend of financial acumen and advanced data analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Transform raw data from the General Ledger (GL) into meaningful analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Bridge the gap between technical data capabilities and finance by applying analytical tools beyond traditional Microsoft Office functionality.
  • Oversee monthly forecasting and the annual budgeting processes using financial systems and spreadsheet models
  • Develop accurate and actionable financial plans
  • Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers of performance opportunities and risks
  • Deliver insightful commentary to explain financial results to management
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive financial models and dashboards to track key performance indicators and financial metrics
  • Creates monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management
  • Responsible for reporting and tracking business drivers, financial impacts, and progression toward strategic objectives
  • Partner with other departments to ensure consistency of information between financial plans and operational execution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Deep understanding of financial concepts and proven financial modeling and analysis ability
  • Proven understanding of financial statements
  • Ability to present complex information clearly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in Hyperion Essbase, Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI
