Credit Analyst
Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Credit Analyst for a contract opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and underwrite commercial loan requests ranging from $2MM to $20MM
- Perform detailed financial statement analysis, including cash flow, profitability, and leverage metrics
- Assess borrower creditworthiness and risk profiles for CRE and C&I transactions
- Prepare credit memoranda and recommendations for loan committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify emerging risks
- Collaborate with relationship managers and other stakeholders to structure deals
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of experience in commercial credit analysis or underwriting within a banking environment
- Strong experience with both Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending
- Solid understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with loan systems (e.g., SageWorks) is a plus, but not required
