Senior Commercial Banker

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Senior Commercial Banker for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage a portfolio of mid-market and corporate clients within high-payments industries.
• Develop trusted relationships with executives including CFOs, Treasurers, and Controllers.
• Provide strategic banking guidance across lending, treasury management, and payment solutions.
• Proactively source and originate new client relationships within targeted industries.
• Leverage professional networks, industry events, and market intelligence to identify prospects.
• Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and cross-selling of bank products and services.
• Advise clients on complex payment infrastructures including ACH, card processing, integrated payments, and treasury management solutions.
• Partner with internal payments specialists to structure solutions that support high transaction volumes and operational efficiency.
• Conduct financial analysis and maintain strong credit quality within the portfolio.
• Collaborate with treasury management, product specialists, and capital markets teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Maintain deep knowledge of trends affecting payments-heavy industries including regulatory, technology, and operational developments.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of commercial or corporate banking experience.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client prospecting.
• Experience working with mid-market or corporate clients.
• Strong understanding of treasury management and payments solutions.
• Proven ability to build relationships with senior executives and decision makers.
• Strong financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk management capabilities.
• Experience serving high-payments industries such as Healthcare services, Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), Payment processors, ACH-intensive businesses
• Background in treasury management or payment solutions banking
