Business Analyst, Conversion Specialist

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Business Analyst, Conversion Specialist for a consultant opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities:

• Analyze current and future-state business processes for consumer credit card initiatives, including end-to-end process mapping and workflow documentation.
• Develop and maintain business requirements, process maps, workflows, and comprehensive project documentation to support conversion and implementation efforts.
• Partner with business leaders, SMEs, technology teams, to gather requirements and define functional and technical solutions.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors including card network partners and service providers to support conversion readiness, requirements gathering, dependency management, and implementation activities.
• Analyze transaction flows, consumer credit card operations, and conversion impacts to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Support dependency identification and schedule planning by documenting process relationships, operational impacts, and cross-functional requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Project Management, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Visa and Mastercard transaction flows, consumer credit card processing, and card portfolio conversion initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional business and technology teams to support complex initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar project management platforms.
