Program Manager, Credit & Lending

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Program Manager, Credit & Lending for a consultant opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee enterprise-wide lending initiatives through the full lifecycle, from initiation to implementation.
• Build and maintain project plans, budgets, timelines, governance documentation, and accelerate executive steering committees, stakeholder meetings, and project governance reviews.
• Drive strategic initiatives supporting consumer, commercial, mortgage, auto, and small business lending operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide lending transformation programs, system implementations, process improvements, and digital modernization initiatives.
• Reinforce enhancement and optimization of underwriting, credit assessment, and loan decisioning processes across the lending lifecycle.
• Ensure initiatives are executed in accordance with applicable banking regulations, lending requirements, and organizational policies.
• Monitor program performance and ensure adherence to established controls, risk frameworks, and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of project or program management experience within banking or financial services.
• 5 years of experience leading complex credit and lending initiatives,.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities, executive stakeholders, budgets, schedules, and governance processes.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Lean Six Sigma, or comparable professional certification is preferred.
• Experience supporting lending technology implementations, business transformation, or digital modernization initiatives within regulated financial institutions is preferred.
