SBA Relationship Manager (Atlanta, GA)

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a SBA Relationship Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Originate and manage SBA loan relationships while maintaining a strong portfolio
• Assess borrower creditworthiness through financial analysis and due diligence
• Structure, negotiate, and present loan packages for approval
• Ensure compliance with SBA guidelines and internal policies
• Monitor portfolio performance and manage risk, including past-due accounts
• Serve as primary client contact and cross-sell banking solutions
• Develop new business through COIs, brokers, and networking
• Maintain accurate reporting and stay current on market and regulatory changes
• Collaborate internally and participate in community engagement and ongoing training

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in SBA or commercial lending
• Strong knowledge of SBA programs (7(a), 504) and related regulations
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements and assess credit risk
• Experience structuring and closing complex loan transactions
• Strong business development and relationship management skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
